Head of School and Lead Teacher: Taylor Brendmoen

While completing her undergraduate degree, Taylor did a series of observations at a Montessori school and instantly fell in love with the peaceful environment and independence of the children. After these few observations, she knew she had to pursue a career in Montessori. Previously, Taylor taught in both traditional and Spanish-immersion preschools. She has a B.I.S. in Child Psychology, Spanish, and Xicanx Studies from the University of Minnesota--Twin Cities and a Master in Education and AMS Montessori certification from the University of Wisconsin--River Falls.

Taylor has been teaching preschool since 2013, and has worked with children in one form or another since she was a teenager. She has traveled in Central and South America and is fluent in Spanish. She loves to bring the Spanish language into the classroom with music and movement! Taylor’s graduate research focused on yoga and mindfulness, and she is passionate about incorporating these kinds of activities into the classroom.
