Head of School and Lead Teacher: Taylor Amigon

While completing her undergraduate degree, Taylor did a series of observations at a Montessori school and instantly fell in love with the peaceful environment and independence of the children. After these few observations, she knew she had to pursue a career in Montessori. Previously, Taylor taught in both traditional and Spanish-immersion preschools. She has a B.I.S. in Child Psychology, Spanish, and Xicanx Studies from the University of Minnesota--Twin Cities and a Master of Education and AMS Montessori certification from the University of Wisconsin--River Falls.

Taylor has been teaching preschool since 2013, and has worked with children in one form or another since she was a teenager. She has traveled in Central and South America and is fluent in Spanish. She loves to bring the Spanish language into the classroom with music and movement! Taylor’s graduate research focused on yoga and mindfulness, and she is passionate about incorporating these kinds of activities into the classroom.

AideTeacher: Natalia Dietsche

Shortly after graduating from Mounds View High School back in 2012, Natalia realized her true passion was working with children. She has over 5 years experience working with kids.

Natalia has volunteered for years in the childcare at a Latin American culture camp, a camp which Natalia herself attended beginning at two years old. She also has experience working as a personal care assistant with special needs children and has been a nanny for different families. A few years ago, Natalia was an Assistant Teacher at a Montessori preschool and was introduced to the method. She truly enjoyed every aspect of teaching and learned that children have just as much to offer us as we do them. She knows that some of the most important qualities to have while working with children are patience and flexibility. It is her goal to ensure every child receives the best care that they deserve!

Natalia believes in embracing differences and learning about other cultures. She knows some American Sign Language (ASL) and Spanish. This has allowed her to connect with a variety of individuals.
